Gold Winners will receive cash awards
and will perform the work in its entirety during the Competition's Fundraising Series.
All prizewinners will perform one movement ONLY in the Festival Recital at Weill
Recital Hall at Carnegie Hall.
This division is for
those contestants of any age who are able to perform an entire large
composition, i.e.:
Requirements for all ages:
An entire
Baroque Suite, Partita, Toccata
An entire
Classical, Romantic or 20th Century Sonata
A large
Romantic Suite or Cycle - i.e. Schumann's Carnaval, Symphonic Etudes, Papillons
20th
Century Suite or Cycle - i.e. Bartok's Suite Op. 14, Six Rumanian Folk Dances,
Debussy's Pour le Piano, Suite Bergamasque
This competition consists of
two rounds of auditions. The Preliminary Round is by a submitted and properly
labeled VHS tape or DVD, which must be ready for listening.
The recording
must be accompanied by copy of working score of the piece. Recordings
which are not labeled properly will not be accepted.
Winners will be determined by
the score received from the Final Round.
Audio (CD or cassette), DVD, & VHS Cassette Labeling Information
Each cassette
submitted to the competition must be labeled as follows:

Performer's name, age and membership number (if applicable)

Teacher's name and membership number
-
Division name and code number
-
Composition name, Opus numbers, key, etc.

Performance time
Improperly labeled recordings will not be accepted.
