This is the first lesson of the TextConverter Tutorial series. It provides a brief overview of the top level user interface elements of Text Converter as well as demonstrates the basic steps required for the majority of data extractions.

In our second lesson we will cover how multi-level input data can be extracted using hierarchical templates as well as a brief overview of creating templates to extract data from tag based fields.

Exracting data from invoices without script is easy and fast using positional and tag based fields in Text Convertor. Positional fields allow you to exact data that is located in vertical columns. Tag based fields are great for exracting data where the tag is consistent but the value changes such as the Invoice Number.
